ngland are on the brink of qualifying for next year’s Qatar World Cup, despite being denied a sixth straight qualifying win by a stoppage-time equaliser in Poland.

Substitute Damian Szymanski headed home at the back post in the 92nd minute to earn Poland a point in front of 56,000 jubilant home fans here in Warsaw.

Earlier, Harry Kane scored his 41st England goal – moving clear of Michael Owen as his country’s fifth all-time top scorer – with a superb dipping strike in the 72nd minute.

England remain on course to top Group I, with qualifiers against Andorra, Hungary, Albania and San Marino to come before the end of the year.
