Virat Kohli’s decision to bat first after winning the toss seemingly backfired as RCB lost both the openers in power play. Their side dealt a further blow when Andre Russel scalped two wickets- Bharat and AB de Villiers in a single over. The red brigade nearly drowned when their mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy departed Maxwell and Hasaranga in successive deliveries.
