Raptors star Pascal Siakam is back on the basketball court in Toronto.
In a video posted on his YouTube channel that was filmed earlier this month, Siakam documents his flight back to the city as well as some of his first activities.
The video, produced by Red Bull and Tier Zero and titled Back in the Six – Toronto Homecoming, includes some one-on-one work on the court with team staff at the OVO Athletic Centre.
Siakam underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder in June. In their press release announcing the surgery, the Raptors said Siakam is expected to be out of game action for five months.
Siakam noted it’s his first time back in Toronto since he was in lockdown in the city for close to three months at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic before the team headed to Florida for the resumption of the schedule last year.
The six-foot-nine forward also is seen riding a TTC streetcar and shooting some hoops outdoors.
“I just feel I’m in a real good place mentally … I’m just happy and for me that’s the most important,” Siakam says.
