The WWE has given us several athletes that have made us love this form of entertainment.

The WWE has undoubtedly been the most loved wrestling franchise in the history of combat sports. The wrestlers wholeheartedly give their all to make every game a treat to watch. From the early 1970s up until the late 2010s, we have seen many sensations. Be it the “Beast” Brock Lesnar or the most loved entertainer John Cena, be it Triple H and his deadly looks or Edge with his high-flying moves, the franchise has helped them all to shine. So, here’s a look at the top 10 wrestlers with the greatest number of title wins: – 

10. Brock Lesnar 

Brock, the beast of the WWE is unquestionably super dominant. When he takes his opponents to Suplex City his dominance is unmatched. Suplex after suplex he makes it look very easy. The stipulation matches are where you can see the best of Brock Lesnar. Be it Hell in a Cell or the Steel Cage match, Brock easily wins them all. His rivalries are always eye candy. Rivalries against John Cena or Goldberg are ones for the ages. His sphere and the air-borne game are too good! Brock has won the WWE Championship 8 times in total. 

9. Jeff Jarret 

Jeffery Leonard Jarret, famous by his in-ring name Jeff Jarret has won the prestigious WWE title a record 8 times.  This includes 6 of his NWA World Heavyweight Championships and 2 of the WCW World Championships.  Jeff began competing in the year 1986 and was active in the circuit till around 2006. He again came back in the PG Era of wrestling and had an immortal feud with Kurt Angle over a long period of 4 long years. This stint from 2010-2014 made Jeff Jarret an absolute legend. Jeff in his prime was agile, muscular, and athletic. His moves were super smooth. 

8. The Rock: – 

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is certainly a big name in WWE. He is one of the big faces to be ever associated with the federation. Dwayne undoubtedly is the biggest and the most charismatic star that has been in the ring. His moves, looks, and conduct inside the ring are what make him unique. The Rock has won the WCW Championship 2 times while the WWE Championship 8 times. His total of 10 titles is what every athlete can dream of but only a few can achieve. Initially interested to play in the NFL, the Rock was picked by one of the WWE scouts. 

7. Sting: – 

The face-painted demon that haunted most of his in-ring opponents is Sting. His look in the ring makes him super cool. His finishing move of the Scorpion Death Lock is one deadly weapon. At times Sting even used a surprise “Spear” to end the game. Sting has won the title 10 times. This includes 2 NWA World Heavyweight Titles, 2 WCW International World Championships, and 6 WCW World Championships. Sting also had made a comeback to the WWE to get in a feud with the Undertaker. His submission move of Stinger is difficult to get rid of.  

6. Edge: – 

Adam Joseph Copeland, better known as Edge is a phenomenon. This Canadian professional wrestler is a true champion. He arrived in the WWE in the year 1992 and ever since has made the WWE his own. Edge, Cena, and Orton are considered the pioneers of a new era in wrestling entertainment. He was in fact the first wrestler to showcase high-flying moves. His kicks and stamina inside the ring are what make the time worth it. He has won the title 11 times including 7 WWE World Heavyweight titles and 4 WWE Championships.  

5. Hulk Hogan: – 

Hogan is one of the crowd’s favorite wrestlers. He has the ability to make wrestling look graceful yet charismatic. His moves in the ring are absolutely glorious. Hulk and his “Leg Drop” took the WWE by storm in 1979. He debuted in the match against Andre the Giant. It was the owner of the WWE, Vince McMahon Sr. who discovered this muscular hunk. He was the first wrestler who genuinely portrayed a great physique on TV. He has won the title 12 times. 

4. Randy Orton: – 

The producer of the RKO, Randy Orton is one of the most controversial yet loved entertainers. Randy over the years has inspired several young athletes to take up wrestling entertainment. Orton is one of the most fun gimmicks to get inside the ring. Promoted as the young generation to take forward modern wrestling, Randy paid good revenues to the McMahons. He has a huge fan following. His Punt Kick, although banned is one of the deadliest moves. The RKO outta nowhere is always a treat to watch. He has won the title 14 times. 

3. Triple H: – 

An integral member of the DX, alongside Shawn Michaels, H was a heartthrob. His long hair, aggressive gameplay, and smooth in-ring moves helped him garner an audience. Triple H and his “Pedigree” are loved by all the followers. Triple H happens to be McMahon’s son-in-law and this adds to the story of the WWE. He has won the title 14 times as well.  

2. John Cena: – 

John Cena is tied at number 1 along with Ric Flair. Cena is the face of the WWE even in today’s date. His fan following is second to none. John is absolutely loved by the community. He first showed up in the year 2003 and since then has become a rage. His freestyling gimmick was a hit with the audience. His outfit, coupled with his in-ring moves makes him the complete package. John has won the WWE Championship a record 16 times. 

1. Ric Flair: – 

Ric unquestionably is one of the greatest WWE performers. He, at his prime in the early ’90s and late ’80s, was loved by his followers. Ric Flair and his King gimmick were loved by all. Flair’s signature moves of “figure 4” were also received well by the audience. Ric dominated the circuit in the early days and has won the title a record 16 times!
