At the end of practice on Monday, superstar safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and wide receiver Chase Claypool got into a fight.
It’s that time of the year where tensions really are riding high at training camps. The regular season is so close players can taste it, as they truly can’t wait to start hitting some people in real time. That also means some guys may be losing their cool on one another.
That happened on Monday for the Pittsburgh Steelers. At the end of the session, it was revealed that Minkah Fitzpatrick and Chase Claypool got into it with one another and had to be separated by teammates. While you’ve got to love the fire being showcased, Mike Tomlin of course doesn’t like seeing this either.

Fortunately, no injuries were suffered in this case. At the end of the day, it looks like Fitzpatrick and Claypool were just a little extra fired up here and decided to take out some of their anger against each other.
While Tomlin wouldn’t discuss what exactly happened here, offensive guard Kevin Dotson said he wasn’t surprised to see it go down since both of his teammates play with so much passion whenever they’re on the field.
On Sunday, Sept. 12, Pittsburgh will open up the season with a monster AFC showdown against the Buffalo Bills. With Ben Roethlisberger back in action, he’ll look to Claypool early and often to try and record some big plays against Buffalo’s scrappy defense.
As for Fitzpatrick, the New Jersey native is one of the best defensive backs in the game. He’ll be ready to get back to his stellar ways as soon as he jogs out onto the field.
Pittsburgh fans shouldn’t be overly concerned about Monday’s brawl.
