WSOC Picks Up First Road Win at Albany, 2-0



ALBANY, N.Y. – The UConn women’s soccer team notched its first road win and shutout of the season with a 2-0 victory at Albany on Sunday afternoon.

Isabelle Lynch broke a scoreless match with her first goal of the season in the 75th minute. Lynch helped add to the 41 second later when her pass was mishandled by a Danes defender, who put it in the back of her own net to make it 2-0 Huskies.

Kaitlyn Mahoney earned her first career shutout with four saves on the afternoon.

UConn out-shot the Danes 17-10 overall including a team-high four shots from Jaydah Bedoya and three shots from Jada Konte.

The Huskies move to 3-1 on the young season and will next play on Thursday, Sept. 9 at 7 PM against Brown at Morrone Stadium.
