England vs Andorra prediction, odds and team news: Three Lions set to coast past Andorra in Wembley mismatch

Gareth Southgate is likely to ring the changes on Sunday but the Three Lions should still rack up a decent scoreline

Every now and then international football throws up a complete mismatch and we have one at Wembley on Sunday evening, so much so that Grosvenor Sport aren’t even taking bets on the hosts in the match result market.

England are such heavy favourites that they are only 11/2 to win by six goals, and 30/1 to win by a double-figure margin.

Andorra, who come in at number 134 in the FIFA rankings, won their first game in almost two years against San Marino on Thursday night but the fact that they could only find the net twice against such weak opponents hardly bodes well for their prospects against the Euro 2020 finalists.

Don’t expect the visitors to contribute to the scoresheet, especially against England’s miserly rearguard, but the bookies are well aware of that too, which is why the England to win to nil bet is only 1/3. That isn’t going to tempt many unless it’s the leg of an accumulator.

Finding a bet in such a one-sided affair isn’t easy, especially as we don’t really have a clear picture of England’s starting eleven, but Gareth Southgate’s side haven’t lost any of their hunger based on what we saw in Budapest on Thursday night and they will see this as a perfect opportunity to bolster the goal difference column in the Group I table.

The Three Lions ‘only’ put five past San Marino themselves in March and it’s unlikely the hosts will be busting a gut in the second half to rack up a cricket score, especially with that period of the being heavily disrupted by substitutions.

Don’t expect England to get anywhere near double figures but, no matter what side Southgate puts out, they should be able to cover the 4.5 goal line, so that’s the bet at 10/13 with Grosvenor Sport.

Football Betting Tip

Over 4.5 England goals – 10/13

England Team News

Jadon Sancho picked up a knock ahead of the Hungary game but the Manchester United front man is expected to be available for selection against Andorra.

Gareth Southgate looks set to make some changes from the eleven that started against Hungary and that might include a a start for Patrick Bamford, who was called up to the squad for the first time this week.

Bukayo Saka, Jesse Lingard and Jordan Henderson all made substitute appearances on Thursday and will be pushing for a start this time.
