Ryan Fitzpatrick’s Washington Football Team debut ended quickly.
The veteran quarterback exited Sunday’s game against Los Angeles in the second quarter after he was hit by Chargers edge-rusher Uchenna Nwosu on an incomplete pass attempt. The hit left Fitzpatrick on the ground in pain, requiring a visit from trainers before being helped to the sideline.
Fitzpatrick did not return to the game, being ruled out with a hip injury, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Backup quarterback Taylor Heinicke filled in.
